However, the error code won't be displayed on its own without additional information from other sensors (G4 and G40).
Testing can be a bit difficult as there are two different connector pins, and they have different functions however the best way to test it is to measure resistance between the sensor and the ECU. When the sensor is functional, it should read approximately 1000 ohms. Check for signs of coolant or oil in the connector bay if you have issues with this part.
2. Injectors
Yesterday, when i was accelerating to the fullest speed from highway paytoll i had a big cut in power as if the engine was running out of gas or injectors aren't firing anymore. I took out the spark plugs this morning, three were soaked in gasoline, and the 4th was dry. I placed a tissue over each injector hole, and when I start the engine with no sparks, the 3 that have gazoline pop right out. The 4th one remains closed. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I think the issue is somewhere else.
I also tried to reset the PID without success. The car can start if the G28 is disconnected and it runs perfectly when it is connected but it still has intermittent misfire issues at higher RPM. The coolant sensor (G62) even if it is not plugged in, shows a temperature of -49c. I also noticed that the oil gauge in the cockpit shows 2 bar but the actual pressure is zero.
I don't know what to do. I believe that I've ruled everything else out. I'm concerned that i may have missed something. If anyone has any ideas please share them! TIA!
3. Fuel Pump
The fuel pump in the g28 receives signals from the RPM sensor. The GM-style sensor is the same as the G4 and both function in the 80 100 200, UrS and RS2 cars so you can easily find one at a wrecking yard or in a local parts store. It is easy to test them - simply switch your DMM into resistance mode and test the distance between pins 1 and 2 (with the bump at the connector end facing up). They should be infinite Ohms.
