World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as damage from PvE and crit chance.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will gain 3% attack damage every time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the current level of the item. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or an extra effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must have been at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be used. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced with new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other gear.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at one time. Each Upgrade Items increases the likelihood that a better-quality version of the item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to keep improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failed upgrade will destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item level upgrade.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as fast as possible to level 15.

You'll often see in the endgame that placing Glyphs is a great way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the sole upgrade item component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Utilizing Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage points, but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes, too.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each item level upgrade level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player improves the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced with an item that is new. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with a level 1 base and a different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful however it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides an increase in power if the player repeatedly enters or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The upgrade of items allows players to increase the quality of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an Item Upgrader (Ellis-Molina.Thoughtlanes.Net) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every each time you upgrade an item upgrade, it is given an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you exceed the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state which means that the player has to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

Whenever an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the item's definition and the value is computed each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they may require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
